Born in Valencia (Spain), after studying singing at the Conservatorio Superior de Música 'Joaquín Rodrigo' in the city (Master's Degree in Opera in 2020), Laia Vallés is selected to join the Staatsoper Stuttgart Opernstudio, where she participates in productions such as Die Zauberflöte, Les enfants terribles and Platée, among others.
She increases her training with lessons from Mariella Devia, Luciana Serra, Celso Albelo, Ana María Sánchez and Evghenia Dundekove and perfected her operatic repertoire with 'maestro' Daniel Gil de Tejada and pianists Alessandro Amoretti and Giulio Zappa.
In addition to singing, Laia Vallés studies piano and viola and theatre performance with the actor and director Alejandro Carvallo.
Among the various prizes she receives, the most important are the prize for the best Spanish singer and the audience award at the Tenor Viñas 2022 competition and the prize for the voice with the most future in the 'Ciudad de Logroño' competition.
Her repertoire includes titles such as Don Giovanni (Zerlina), Der Schauspieldirektor (Frau Silberklang), Le nozze di Figaro (Barbarina), Hänsel und Gretel (Sandmännchen), Die Verurteilung des Lukullus (second Ausruferin), Così fan tutte (Despina), Carmen (Micaëla), Les contes d'Hoffmann (Antonia), The Fairy Queen (Second fairy and Juno), La Cenerentola (Clorinda), L'elisir d'amore (Gianetta) and Le nozze di Figaro (Barbarina). Her most recent performances include the role of Frasquita in Carmen again in Stuttgart.
In the symphonic field she performs as soloist Mozart's Coronation Mass, Dvorak's Te Deum, Mozart's Requiem and Haendel's Messiah.
Soon, as a member of the ensemble of Theatre Aachen (Germany), Vallés will take part in the operas King Arthur (Love) and La Bohème (Musetta).
