With a well-established and prestigious career, Josep Fadó has become one of the indispensable singers in the opera seasons of Spain. Born in Mataró (Barcelona), he starts his studies in music, solfeggio, piano, and violin with Albert Nieto. Later on, he begins his studies in singing at the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona, where he continues until obtaining the Superior Degree from the Conservatory of Music in Barcelona.
He made his professional debut as Manrico in Il trovatore. From that moment on, his career has since spanned an extensive repertoire, with standout roles in titles such as Carmen, Pagliacci, Norma, Aida, La forza del destino, Samson et Dalila, Henry VIII, Un ballo in maschera, Nabucco, zarzuela La Chulapona, etc. He has performed in theaters and festivals worldwide, including renowned venues such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Real and Zarzuela in Madrid, Oviedo, Maestranza in Sevilla, Bilbao, as well as Klagenfurt (Austria), Danish National Opera, Dijon (France), and the Teatro Municipal de Lima (Peru), among others.
