Born in Zaragoza, Javier Agudo began studying the violin at the age of six at the Integrated Music Center Padre Antonio Soler in San Lorenzo de El Escorial. At the age of 17, he started his vocal studies with soprano Patricia Castro and joined the Youth Choir of the Community of Madrid. Subsequently, he was admitted to the Superior School of Singing in Madrid (ESCM) and completed his studies at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki (Finland) under the guidance of maestro Petteri Salomaa.
In 2021, Javier Agudo became a part of the Bel Canto Academy in Pergine, Italy, and in 2022, he joined the second edition of the Crescendo program at Teatro Real. In this program, he worked with maestros Víctor Dogar, Carmen Santoro, and Sabina Puértolas.
Despite his youth, Javier Agudo already includes roles such as Guglielmo in Cosí fan tutte, Slook in Rossini's La cambiale di matrimonio, Lucifero in Handel's La Resurrezione, Simone in Gianni Schicchi, and Masetto in Don Giovanni in his repertoire. His performances have extended across major theaters in Finland (Music Hall, Concert Hall, Organ Hall, Finnish National Opera), China (Beijing and Shanghai), South Korea (Seoul National Theatre), and in Spain, at the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, Teatro Real, the Teatros del Canal, Kursaal in San Sebastián, etc..
One of his recent highlights includes the premiere of the work La muerte y el industrial by Jorge Fernández Guerra at the Fundación March in Madrid and the Espacio Turina in Seville, and his debut at Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona with Lady Macbeth de Mtsensk.
