Of Italian-Argentinian origin, Emmanuel Faraldo stands out for his brilliant timbre and remarkable stage presence, which have enabled him to participate in Spain's most important opera seasons.
Faraldo pursued his vocal studies at the National University of the Arts in Buenos Aires and furthered his training at the Superior Institute of the Arts of the Teatro Colón. In 2014, he was awarded a scholarship by the Albéniz Foundation to refine his skills at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid, where he established his residence. Subsequently, he gained admission to the Centre de Perfeccionament Plácido Domingo at the Palau de les Arts in Valencia.
Among the titles he debuted over these years, notable ones include Idomeneo (as Arbace and Idamante), La Bohème, Samson et Dalila, Don Pasquale (as Ernesto), Carmen (as Remendado), Bastien und Bastienne, Il viaggio a Reims (as Libenskof), I Puritani, Capriccio, La Traviata, Lucia di Lammermoor (as Arturo), L'elisir d'amore (as Nemorino), El cantor de México, Ariadne auf Naxos (Scaramuccio), among others, in venues such as the Teatro Real in Madrid, Liceu in Barcelona, Ópera de Tenerife, the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, Maestranza in Seville, Calderón in Valladolid, etc. Additionally, he has performed internationally at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro and the National Opera of Lithuania, to mention a few examples.
His oratorio repertoire includes Handel's Messiah (performed with the Principality of Asturias Symphony Orchestra), Mozart's Requiem (with the Orchestra of the Kingdom of Aragon on a tour of Spain and France), Puccini's Messa di Gloria at the National Auditorium of Madrid, alongside the Orfeón Donostiarra, Rossini's Stabat Mater (with the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra) and Orff's Carmina Burana.
He will soon return to the Teatro de la Zarzuela for an exciting collaboration.
