Born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Blanca Valido begins her musical studies in the youth choir of the Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria, finishing them in Madrid, at the Escuela Superior de Canto with the Lola Rodríguez de Aragón end-of-degree prize. She is currently studying for a master's degree in Musical Creation and Performance Research at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid.
She has been taught by figures of the stature of Mirella Freni, Illeana Cotrubas, Francisco Kraus, Dolora Zajick, Cristina Gallardo-Dômas, Jaume Aragall and with great masters such as Alberto Zedda, Dalton Baldwin, Giulio Zappa and Rubén Fernández Aguirre, among others.
Valido takes part in various competitions such as the Alfredo Kraus International Singing Competition (finalist) and wins the Ángel Vegas scholarship awarded by the Juventudes Musicales de Madrid.
She starts her career making her operatic debut as the Second Lady in Die Zauberflöte at Teatro Villamarta in Jerez. From then on, she sings important roles in operas such as Così fan tutte, Rinaldo, Il barbiere di Siviglia, Il Trovatore, La Traviata, Gianni Schicchi, Rigoletto and the zarzuelas La verbena de la Paloma, La Revoltosa, Casado y soltero, Los claveles, La Dolorosa, El cantar del arriero, in major national venues such as Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, Teatro Perez Galdós and Cuyás in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Villamarta in Jerez, Auditorio de Tenerife Adán Martín and Manuel de Falla in Granada, among others.
In her professional career she works with maestros such as José Miguel Pérez Sierra, Gianluca Martinenghi, Franceso Ivan Ciampa and Rafael Sánchez Araña, and under the stage direction of José Carlos Plaza, Giulio Ciabatti, Stefania Panighini...
Her symphonic repertoire includes works such as Handel's Messiah, Mozart's Requiem and Donizetti's Requiem, Rossini's Stabat Mater, Mozart's Exultate Jubilate and Mass in C major, Pergolesi's Stabat Mater and Bach's Cantata BWV 179.
Valido performs as soloist and in shows of diverse repertoire in venues such as Teatro Monumental in Madrid, L'Auditori in Barcelona, Kursaal in San Sebastián, Baluarte in Pamplona, Auditori in Zaragoza, Miguel Delibes in Valladolid, Palacio de Congresos de Castilla y León and Palacio de Festivales in Cantabria. She also takes part in three tours of zarzuela and Korean song in important auditoriums in Tokyo (Japan) and throughout South Korea, such as the prestigious Seoul Arts Center.
Among her latest performances is the role of Dolores in La Dolorosa, as part of the season of the Amigos Canarios de la Zarzuela, and two lyric galas at Teatro Cuyás in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the Palacio de Festivales de Cantabria in Santander.
She will soon debut the role of Suzuki from Madama Butterfly with the Excelentia Foundation in several cities in Spain.
