Born in Poland, Paulina Bielarczyk is a young lirico spinto soprano and the winner of numerous international awards. Among these are the Gustav Mahler Lied Performance Prize at the Gabriela Beňačková Singing Competition (Czech Republic), third prize at the Robert Schumann Song Competition in Zwickau (Germany), and first prize at the Compostela Lírica Opera Competition in Santiago de Compostela.
She studied Voice at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow, graduating with honours in 2019. During this time, she spent a semester as an Erasmus+ student at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden, where she later successfully completed a two-year postgraduate programme with Professor Christiane Junghans in 2021, subsequently joining the chorus of the Dresden Staatsoperetta. She is currently under the tutelage of Łucja Zarzycka. She has also participated in masterclasses with, among others, Piotr Beczała, Brigitte Fassbaender, Helmut Deutsch, Olaf Bär, Nadine Secunde, Peter Berne, and Axel Bauni.
Her operatic repertoire includes notable roles such as Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, the Wife in Milhaud’s Le pauvre matelot, the title role in Alcina, and Tatiana in Eugene Onegin, among others.
With an active career in the symphonic field, among her many collaborations, she performed the solo part in the world premiere of Panteistycznie for soprano and instruments by Paweł Malinowski and took part in the oratorio The Seven Words of Christ on the Cross by Cesar Franck with the Podkarpackie Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Jiri Pertdlik. Additionally, her recent participation in an opera arias concert with the Real Filharmonía de Galicia is also worth noting.
She will soon make her debut in Spain, taking part in the opera season in Oviedo.
