Born in Barcelona, Maria Miró is a talented young lyric soprano with a beautiful and distinct voice. She studies at the prestigious Liceu Conservatoire of Barcelona and the Royal Northern College of Music of Manchester.
She attends masterclasses with Montserrat Caballé, Julius Drake, Laura Sarti, Jeanette Favaro-Reuter, Jaume Aragall, Cynthia Sanner, Ana Luisa Chova, Bonaldo Giaiotti, Dalton Baldwin, François Le Roux and Nicolas Krüger; and received advice from Elisabetta Fiorillo, Viorica Cortez, Mariella Devia and Esperanza Melguizo. Se is currently perfecting her technique skills with Deborah Polaski.

As a soloist, she performs throughout Spain and the United Kingdom. From 2006 to 2009, she is the soprano of the ensemble Com.Cat Trio, which broadcasted a repertoire of twentieth-century Catalan composers.
In 2019 she debuts at Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid in El barberillo de Lavapiés, a production she will repeat in Oviedo that same year, Seville and Valencia, and in 2022 in the revival at the Madrid coliseum.
She recently participates in the world premiere of the opera Tránsito, a production by Teatro Real and Teatro Español that has been carried out at Naves Español Matadero in Madrid, with great critical and public success, as well as in the new production of Die Zauberflöte in Oviedo's operatic season and again at the Teatro Real in Götterdämmerung.
Her latest performances include her debut at the Tenerife Opera singing once more the rol of Laurencia in Fuenteovejuna.
Miró will soon take on new challenges at Teatro Real and Palau de les Arts in Valencia.
