Luisa Fernanda at
Teatro de la Zarzuela

Imagen
The soprano Maite Alberola will return next January to the Teatro de la Zarzuela to be the protagonist of Luisa Fernanda by Moreno Torroba. The Madrid coliseum recovers the project that had to be postponed due to the pandemic last May. Along with her will be on stage Alejandro del Cerro, Javier Franco and Leonor Bonilla, among other great professionals.

First leading role at Real

Alejandro del Cerro will shortly assume his first leading role at the Teatro Real. He will be Guglielmo of Viva la mamma by Donizetti, with almost entirely Spanish cast. This will be the tenor's seventh collaboration with the Madrid theater, after outstanding performances in Lucia di Lammermoor and Parsifal.

Tránsito, new project
for Maria Miró

The soprano Maria Miró returns one more season to the Teatro Real in Madrid, this time in the world premiere of the opera Tránsito by the composer Jesús Torres, based on the theatrical work by the French author Max Aub. It is a co-production between the Real and the Teatro Español.

Vivica Genaux comes back to Madrid

Imagen
Vivica Genaux, the great American mezzo-soprano, will stop in Madrid next March to premiere a highly original program, Capriccio, accompanied for the first time by the guitarist Giangiacomo Pinardi. She will do it within the framework of the second edition of the chamber cycle of the Círculo de Bellas Artes of the city, to which she has been invited by its artistic director Antonio Moral. With a clearly intimate character, the recital will focus on the concept of 'variations', explained through four different themes: an aria by Paesiello, a text by Goethe, the city of Venice and a context, the home theater. The appointment will be on March 14th in the Fernando de Rojas hall of the Círculo.
