Born in Ukraine, the mezzo-soprano Maria Berezovska studies at the Conservatory of Music of Odessa, the Academy of Lyric Art of Ancona (Italy) and finally at the National Academy of Music also in Odessa, where she finishes a master of Music.
Awarded in various competitions in her native country and Italy, she is currently part of the soloist cast of the Kiev National Opera as the first dramatic mezzo, where she plays the main roles of the operas Aida (Amneris), Il trovatore (Azucena), Don Carlo (Eboli), Nabucco (Fenena), Un ballo in maschera (Ulrika), Rigoletto (Maddalena), Madama Butterfly (Suzuki), Gianni Schicchi (Ciesca), Cavalleria rusticana (Mamma Lucia), Pikovaya Dama (Countess and Paulina), Iolanta (Laura), Eugene Onegin (Olga and Filippyevna), Tsar's girlfriend (Lyubasha) and Boris Godunov (Marina Mniszech and Shinkarka).
Thanks to the success of her performances in Kiev, Maria Berezovska is invited to participate in other seasons of Ukraine and countries in its area of influence. For example, in February 2018 she debuts as Amneris at Dubai Opera House with the Polish National Opera Warsaw, conductor Patrick Fournillier.
Likewise, as soloist of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Odessa she performs: Requiem by Mozart and Verdi; Kindertotenlieder and Symphony No. 2 by Mahler; Messiah by Haendel; Les nuits d'été by Berlioz; Symphony No. 9 by Beethoven; Stabat Mater by Pergolesi; Magnificat, Saint John and Saint Matthew Passion by Bach; Alt-Rhapsodie by Brahms; and The eves by Rachmaninoff.
Her symphonic activity includes concerts in countries such as the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Austria, USA, Greece and the United Arab Emirates, among others.
